FUN WITH FRIENDS

In February, my friends Rochelle and Jeremy were so awesome to come from Boston to visit us here! We had a great time going to a chinese restaurant, taking a nice run together in the morning, playing card games, and just hanging out. We also had a chance to go downtown and hit the American History Museum and we even got to meet some celebrities in D.C. I will list just a few... George Washington, Woodrow Wilson, Grant, Teddy Roosevelt, Lincoln, Jefferson, Taft, Bush, Obama and of course my favorite Julia Roberts.-- one of these things is not like the others! So maybe all these stars aren't living, well none of them were living, but we got cozy with all of them at Madame Tussauds Wax Museum. They had just opened a special president section with all the presidents of the U.S. in addition to all the regular star waxes like Opra, Brad, Angelina, Madonna, sports figures...etc. It was really interesting to learn some of the random facts about each president.. here are a few I thought humorous/interesting.

1. Franklin Pierce, 14th President, while president, was arrested for running over an elderly lady with his horse. Insufficient evidence allowed charges to be dropped.
2. Andrew Jackson, 7th president, survived the first ever assassination attempt when the assassin's gun misfired and Jackson fought him off with his cane.
3. James Buchanan, 15th president, was the only president not be married in office. SO who was the first lady-- his niece.
4. Poor William Howard Tuft, 27th President, at 332 pounds, Taft was the largest of the presidents. He once got stuck in the White House bathtub and had to have an oversized version brought in for his use.
5. Herbert Hoover, 31st president, was actually raised as an orphan.

Okay- enough with the facts- enjoy the pics and see if you can guess who is who.

It was such a blast to hang out with Ro and for her to get to meet our Elli! Thanks so much for coming and visiting! LOVE YOU LOTS!

It has actually been beautiful here lately so I have had to the chance to go to the park with Elliana and she loves going with her friend Amelia. Vicki lives right around the corner so it is fun for us to get together and have our kids play-- Elli loves kids so she loves the park. She even goes down the slide without me holding her. But- she especially loves the swing, and she loves it the most when Daddy comes home and pushes her!

I love the pic of Elli when she is suppose to be on the lookout but she just can't stop gazing at her daddy! The park pics are cute too. Is that park right in your neighborhood? Close enough to walk to? I wish we had a park in walking distance.

The park is right down the hill- a 2 min. walk. It's small but perfect for just our lil family.
